Delete your BillPal account

App: BillPal (com.billpal.app) · Last updated: 25 August 2026

A BillPal account is optional — it exists only to sync your bills between devices. Deleting it does not remove BillPal from your phone, and the bills stored on your phone stay where they are.

From the app (fastest)

  1. Open BillPal and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  2. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. The account and everything synced to it are deleted immediately.

Without the app

If you no longer have BillPal installed, email privacy@billpal.org from the address the account is registered to and ask for deletion. We reply within 30 days; in practice it is much faster.

We ask you to write from the registered address because that is the only thing that shows the account is yours — we have no other way to check, and we will not delete someone else's data on an unverified request.

What is deleted

This happens at once, not on a queue. Nothing is kept in a "deleted" state for later recovery, so the deletion cannot be undone.

What is not deleted

Backups. Deleted data disappears from the live database instantly, but encrypted server backups roll over on a 30-day cycle. After 30 days no copy remains anywhere.
